One of the area’s best community festivals in terms of music has a pair of acts to headline its lineup this year.
Norwood Young America’s Stiftungsfest, the state’s oldest community festival, will welcome back Hairball, a 1980s rock band for the seventh straight year, as well as the Diedesfeld German Band from Diedesfeld, Germany.
The German band has a long history at Stiftungsfest, appearing locally in 1981, 1986, 1991, 2001 and 2006. Its appearance reinforces the community’s celebration of its primarily German heritage.
On the other hand, Hairball has been a huge draw in recent years, moving out from under the big tent and attracting upwards of 5,000 people to its show last year.
