After a short, three minute special meeting of the Mound City Council on Tuesday, May 29 the Walgreens redevelopment project is finished with city requirements.
The meeting included a resolution to put the comprehensive plan amendment into effect, and also a resolution terminating a conditional use permit that stems from the outdoor landscaping section of John’s Variety and Pets. The Mound City Council approved the conditional use permit on July 20, 1990.
The meeting was scheduled after the Met Council approved the plans for a new proposed Walgreens to be located on Lynwood and Commerce Boulevards in downtown Mound.
