Marvella Laura Bertha Rudloff was born July 29, 1925 in Carver, Minn., the daughter of Emil and Mathilda (Schwalbe) Finkel. She was baptized at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Carver. Marvella was later confirmed in the faith on April 2, 1939 at Trinity Lutheran in Carver by Rev. Osterman. On May 9, 1944 she was united in marriage with Hilner Allen Rudloff at Trinity Lutheran in Carver by Rev. Edwin Burdorf.

Marvella and Hilner owned their 80- acre farm by Waconia from 1944 to 1966. They raised their four children in a Christian centered home, membership to Trinity Lutheran Church of Waconia. Marvella was a member of the Ruth Guild and a Sunday school teacher at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waconia. They moved to Chaska in 1966 until 1975 when they purchased a resort south of Garrison, Minn. Marvella had worked at Target near Knollwood Mall, Green Giant in Glencoe, and Ziemers Green House. They spent their winters in Arizona, working at dude ranches and managing apartments. They sold the resort in 1984, at which time they moved to Aitkin, where they built a new home on the lake. Still going south for the winters with their fifth wheel camper, they had many travels seeing the United States. They sold their house in Aitkin in 1994, and since moved a few times, downsizing as they ended up in the Mora/Hinckley area for the past six years.

Marvella had many talents; she was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She lived her life with God to the end. Marvella was a gardener, seamstress, baker, farmer and business lady. She loved to fish, play cards, crafts, bake pies, can foods and you could never leave her house without something to eat. Marvella loved her grandchildren and cherished the time spent with them.
