The season of community celebrations around the area begins this coming weekend, June 15-17, with Hamburg’s Zummerfest.
Organizers have expanded the slate of activities this year, adding a full afternoon of events for children and families on Saturday, June 16. Those activities include a reptile and amphibian zoo show, magic show and much more.
Zummerfest begins on Friday evening at Bi-Centennial Park in Hamburg with a classic car show at 5 p.m. and a cruise at 7 p.m. A concert follows from 8 p.m. to midnight in the park shelter.
Saturday follows with a traditional lineup of morning activities and an afternoon of new attractions, and Sunday’s events are also mostly the same as in past years with a pork chop dinner and pedal pull competition.
