Carver County Parks has planned a great family bike ride event on the Dakota Rail Regional Trail from Mayer to St. Bonifacius and back to Mayer.
The Ride the Rail event will take place on Saturday, June 16 beginning at 10 a.m. from the Trailhead facility located on the southwest corner of Highway 25 and County Road 30 in Mayer. Bring your bike and helmet and participate in the inaugural Ride the Rail event.
Enjoy the Leisurely RIDE THE RAIL on a peaceful eight mile journey east to St. Bonifacius. Once you arrive in St. Bonifacius, re-fuel with snack, grab a cold beverage, and tune your bike (if needed) from one of the expert staff from FreeWheel Bike, then saddle up for your ride back to Mayer. This is a non-competitive ride but riders are encouraged to have returned to Mayer by 1 p.m. Once you return to Mayer you can satisfy your empty tummy with a healthy lunch from Uncle Ron’s Smokehouse or Finn’s Place.
