Erin Halla, Emma Lohse, and Alex Stevens recently competed in the Silver Buckle Saddle Club horse show. The show, hosted by the Western Saddle Club Association, was held in Plymouth on June 16. Halla and Lohse each tied for "High Point" in their age division, which is the biggest award of the show.
All three young ladies hail from Carver County, representing Chaska, Chanhassen, and Waconia and are members of Carver County 4-H, the Hollywood Riders Saddle Club, and the Minnesota State High School Equestrian Association.
They have each spurred their horse on to victories, qualifying to attend the WSCA Championship Show, which is held annually at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds and is the largest open breed horse show in the nation. There are approximately 1,200 horses with close to 5,000 entries in 76 different pleasure and game classes.
