The Watertown Red Devils amateur baseball team improved to 5-2 last week by going 2-1.
The week started for the Red Devils with a 13-5 win at Mayer on Sunday, June 10. The Red Devils also beat Waconia 5-4 on Thursday, June 14, a big win against last year’s state qualifier that is 9-3 so far this season.
However, Watertown lost at New Germany, 3-1, in a shortened six-inning game on Sunday. Watertown is now 5-2 overall and in the Crow River Valley League.
Watertown will play Friday, June 22, against St. Boni at home at 7:30 p.m., and will also host Delano Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The Red Devils host New Germany Sunday at 2 p.m.
The Mayer Blazers are now 0-10 this season and the New Germany Dutchmen are 3-8. New Germany’s only game this week is the one at Watertown on Sunday. Mayer plays host to Norwood on Sunday at 2 p.m.
