Ridgeview hosting Golf & Taste Celebration on June 25

Ridgeview Foundation will host its 27th Annual Golf & Taste Celebration at Island View Golf Club in Waconia on Monday, June 25. Throughout its history, this event has grown in participation and support of health care resources for the region at Ridgeview Medical Center.

Since 1986, more than $4.7 million has been raised to expand the technology and services available to people and communities in the five-county area served by Ridgeview Medical Center.

Proceeds from this year’s event will be used to support Ridgeview’s Innovation for Generations campaign – through which funds are being raised to further enhance the care and comfort of patients, from the very young to the very old. By blending the most advanced technologies with Ridgeview’s legacy of compassion, this effort will create care environments designed to meet the changing needs of tomorrow’s patients today. Some of the technological advances will include a new patient-nurse communication system, enhanced cancer care and older adult care services, and renovated patient-centered areas in the hospital’s 1963 addition.

"As hosts of one of the most successful fundraising events in the Twin Cities, we are grateful for the significant and ongoing support of our Golf & Taste Celebration from people and businesses throughout the metro," said Doug Stasek, vice president, Corporate Communications & Philanthropy, Ridgeview Medical Center. "Our patients tell us that the ‘Ridgeview experience’ is remarkably different than what they’ve encountered elsewhere. Funds from this event and campaign will ensure that every patient, at every age, will benefit from that same extraordinary Ridgeview experience … for generations to come."

With a gift of $100,000, Lakeview Clinic, Ltd. is the Mega Sponsor of the 27th Annual Golf & Taste Celebration. "Collaboration and partnership is already strong between Lakeview Clinic and Ridgeview Medical Center. This gift exemplifies the support of Lakeview’s physicians for that partnership and their commitment to improve and enhance the medical center facilities. This kind of commitment will help us continue to provide great care for the patients," said Joseph E. Van Kirk, MD, Lakeview Clinic.

Major sponsors include: Mount Development; Leo A. Daly; Wigen Water Technologies; Mortenson Construction; Aurora Investments, LLC; Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP; Beniek Property Services, Inc.; The Goodman Group; Lockton Companies, LLC; Lola’s Lakehouse; Medallion Cabinetry-an Elkay Company; and QualiTech Inc.
