ORONO SCHOOLS – Board meetings to be taped, broadcast

The Orono Board of Education decided to move forward with the purchase of technology that will allow the district to record and broadcast its meetings.

In addition to giving the board the capabilities to have video of its meetings available online and broadcast on the Lake Minnetonka Communications Commission (LMCC) channels, district officials said the new system will also offer additional opportunities for student learning and staff development.

Superintendent Dr. Karen Orcutt said that the goal is to have the system installed in time to tape the first fall board of education meeting.

More information on the system will be available in the June 30, 2012 edition of The Pioneer.
