June 1 was the first day of summer reading. Stop in at the library and pick up review forms or reading records and start on your way to a great summer. The library has special reading programs for all ages.

Friday, Aug. 3, 1 p.m.: Ten Penny Tunes
Family Storytime Thursdays are held at 11 a.m. from July 5 through Aug. 16. They are for all ages, with a focus on children age 2 and up. Children, parents and their caregivers are invited to come and share 30 minutes of stories, music and movement that encourages the development of early literacy skills.
Tails for reading
Aug. 4 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Elementary school age children are welcome to read books aloud to therapy dogs to encourage confidence in reading. Call to register for a 15-minute session.
Something’s Fishy Super Storytime
Thursday, July 26, 11 a.m. For ages 3 and up. Listen to a real fish story then swim with the fish and create an aquarium, do a fish print or cast off and play some games.
Tales, Tricks and Training
Friday, July 27, 1 p.m. For ages 9 and up. Join Zach Gustafson for a Yo- Yo demonstration. There will be stories, tricks and tips to inspire the Yo-Yo artist in you.
