The Waconia American Legion holds a sheephead tournament at 7 p.m. on Thursdays and a Texas hold ’em tournament at 7 and 9 p.m. on Fridays. The Waconia VFW holds a meat raffle Fridays at 7 p.m. and bingo at 1 p.m. on Saturdays.
WIC voucher pick-up
The CAP Agency WIC voucher pick-up dates for all residents of Carver County are the first and third Monday and Wednesday of each month. Beach Bash event
SATURDAY, JULY 7 – The Lake Waconia Beach Bash will be held at Lake Waconia Regional Park from 2-5 p.m. Expect music, a bounce house for youth, beach games, snow cones and more. This event is free with annual parks pass, or purchase of daily pass.

Memorial blood drive
MONDAY, JULY 16 – Memorial Blood Center will be hosting a blood drive at St. Joseph School in Waconia from noon to 7 p.m. At the drive, enter for a chance to win a Polaris ATV. Blood Centers are in critical need of blood. Summer months are always low for donations and after severe weather and flooding, three of Memorial’s collection centers were closed and drives cancelled or postponed throughout the Northland region.
