Michael J. "Mike" Gregoire, 42, of Shakopee, died Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at St. Gertrude’s Health Center in Shakopee.
Mike was born Oct. 27, 1969 to Bruce and Peggy (Schumacher) Gregoire in Norman, Okla.
On Aug. 17, 1996 Mike married Melissa Schettler in North Dakota. Mike graduated from the University of North Dakota with a business degree. He was a Beta Theta Pi at UND. Most recently, Mike worked as a marketing manager for Acer. Prior to working for Acer, he worked at Best Buy for 13 years, where he made many good friends.
Being raised in North Dakota, Mike enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially pheasant hunting. His hobbies included baseball, basketball, golf, traveling and special trips to the BWCA. He enjoyed playing all kinds of games, and he played to win. Mike coached his children on many youth sports teams in Shakopee. Spending quality time with his family was very important to him.
Survived by wife, Melissa and their three children, Mason, McKenzie, Luke; parents, Bruce and Peggy of Thompson, N.D.; brother, Todd (Ruth) of Waconia; grandmother, Veronica Gregoire of Grand Forks, N.D.; mother-in-law, Kay Schettler, of Bismarck, N.D.; and many relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by grandparents, Robert Gregoire, Vernon and Donna Schumacher; father-in-law, Delbert Schettler.
Visitation was Sunday, July 1, from 3-8 p.m., and Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m., at McNearney Funeral Home, 1220 E. 3rd Ave., Shakopee. Mass of Christian Burial was Monday, July 2, 11 a.m. at Church of St. Mark, 350 S. Atwood St., Shakopee. Officiating was the Reverend Peter Wittman.
Honorary Pallbearers were Mike’s Godchildren, Taylor Sivertson, Stephanie Gregoire, and Owen Schleppenbach.
Pallbearers are Tim Sivertson, Dennis Drengson, Bruce Krings, Marty Breitbarth, Chuck Millis, and Dave Haider.
