Hot dinner at St. Paul’s

WAHS Meeting

Thur., July 12 – The Watertown Area Historical Society will meet Thursday, July 12, (note this is a change-this month only). The meeting will be held at Charlotte and Nate Johnson’s home @ 201 Westminster Ave. SW, Watertown. The meeting will consist of a pot luck lunch and then the business meeting. Topics of discussion will be: Final Report on Rails to Trails exhibit/parade; decision on WAHS’s policy on donations to the society; and any new business that members may present. Come be a part of the discovery of the Watertown Area’s history and be a part of the preservation of that history!

New Germany 125th Celebration

Polo Event

Sat., July 14, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. – Freedom Farm Polo Event Fundraiser at BlackBerg Ranch, 1980 Sally Ave., Watertown. $10 tickets available at the gate. Children 10 & under are free. Admission includes: Entry to Polo Matches, entertainment featuring Carriage Rides, Petting Zoo with Pony Rides, Face Painting and the Kids Tent as well as fantastic items raffled off throughout the event.

County Festival

Sun., July 15 – The parish of St. Mary of Czestochowa, 1867 95th St. SE, Delano, invites you to the 30th Annual country Festival. Mass is at 10:30 a.m., with meal available even before the liturgy concludes. Dinner is served from 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. in the dining hall or outside. Dinner features pork chops, roast beef, corn-on-the-cob, baked potato, buns, cole slaw, poppy seed kuchen, bars, applesauce, milk/coffee. Adults are $11, Under 12 are $7, preschool and younger is free. Live Music by Jim Windolek, adult and children’s games, raffles, country store, cake walk, beverages.

Library Book Sale

July 19-21 – The annual All Saints garage sale will take place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and 8 a.m. to noon (half-price day) on Saturday. Lunch is available. The church is located on Highway 212 in NYA.

Library Book Sale

July 20-21 – The Friends of the Watertown Library Booksale will be held on Friday, July 20 from 1-5 pm and Saturday, July 21 from 8 am-2 pm in the City Hall kitchen. All money goes to support Watertown library enhancements. Please note: A $25 fee will be assessed to each scanner brought into the booksale. If you have any books you would like to contribute to the sale, please contact Librarian Kristin Jones at the library (955-2939) or Branch Manager Heidi Hoks (856-4503) prior to the sale.

Rails to Trails

Class of 77 Reunion

Sat., July 21, 6 p.m. – Members of the W-M High School Class of 1977 are invited to the class reunion on Saturday, July 21, at 6 p.m. at the shelter at Highland Park during Rails to Trails. WBA Softball Tourney

Aug. 10-12 – The WBA 5th Annual softball tournament will be held August 10-12 at Brook Peterson Park in Waconia. Games Friday & Saturday (Saturday only option available), with Sunday reserved in case of bad weather. Men and coed divisions. The entry fee is $150 (three game guarantee).
