Schedule set for Maple Plain centennial events

A full day of activities have been planned for the Aug. 18 Maple Plain centennial celebration.

Among the events planned are a 5K run/walk, classic car show, farmers market and craft fair, parade and street dance. Festivities are scheduled to begin Aug. 16 with the third annual movie in the park.

Centennial organizers are seeking volunteers to help coordinate the different events. All volunteers will receive a free centennial T-shirt. People interested in volunteering should contact Maple Plain City Hall at (763) 479-0515.
