Local mayors lend their support to Ortman

To the editor:

We are writing to express our support for Senator Julianne Ortman in the upcoming primary election.

One of our jobs as mayors is to interact and work with our legislators on behalf of our cities. Senator Ortman has always been very responsive to our questions, concerns, and ideas, and has been a tremendous asset to all residents of Carver County. We have reached out to her regarding transportation improvements, infrastructure issues, homeowner concerns, property taxes, and many other issues. Without fail Julianne comes along the side of our residents to help where and when she can.

She is always quick to respond, and is a great partner for our cities in St. Paul. She is always happy to attend City Council meetings to update residents and our city councils on what is happening in St. Paul, to understand and help us with our cities’ strategic priorities, and to appreciate how changes made in St. Paul will effect residents and businesses in Carver County.

We hope you agree that Senator Ortman’s leadership and experience is a valuable asset to all residents and businesses of Carver County. We strongly support her reelection and encourage others to do the same at the polls on Aug. 14 by casting their vote for Julianne Ortman.
