Randy J. "Zig" Zellmann, age 50, of Watertown, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at his home in Watertown.
Memorial Service held on Saturday July 21, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Watertown with Rev. Donald Taylor officiating; a gathering of family and friends from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at church; interment Watertown Public Cemetery.
Randy was born on March 11, 1962 in Waconia the son of Ronald J. and Carol A. (Brandenburg) Zellmann. He was baptized on March 25, 1962 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Watertown by Rev. L. Wetzel and confirmed on May 2, 1976 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Watertown by Rev. Donald Taylor.
Randy truly loved to be in the outdoors hunting and fishing. At any family function he would always be the head chef. He had a special connection with his nieces and nephews bringing them to the store when their parents weren’t aware and spoil them rotten with anything they wanted. Randy was the life of the party having fun with everyone putting a smile on many a face. He was always helping out others with projects around their homes through his woodworking and brick laying capabilities. If he was asked to help out with anything the answer was always yes. His uniform code for daily tasks was in his Carhartt’s. Randy loved to dance with his mother on many different occasions. He referred to himself as the big shooter.
Randy was preceded in death by his grandparents Margaret and Herman Zellmann; Edwin Brandenburg; great-niece Avery Sinclair.
Randy is survived by his loving family; father and mother; Ronald and Carol Zellmann of Watertown; siblings and spouses Kim and Brent Lange of Buffalo, Jolean and Tim Hecksel of Watertown, Rick and Jody Zellmann of Watertown, Sue and Brandon Heinzen of Delano; nieces and nephews; Bridgett, Elizabeth, Trista, Samantha, Haylee, Nathan, Jack, Kylee, Jake; great-niece Lauren; great-nephews Blake and Vincent; special buddies Ben and Andy; grandmother Lorraine Brandenburg of Watertown; Uncles and Aunts: Jesse Zellmann of Washington, Sharon and Gary Anderson of Plymouth, Gary and Kristie Brandenburg of Waconia, Dennis and Kim Brandenburg of Howard Lake; other relatives and friends.
