Military voting advocates honor Minnesota's efforts

Minnesota was recently recognized as an All-Star state by the Military Voter Protection (MVP) Project for its significant effort to promote and protect the voting rights of America’s military service members and their families.

"Minnesotans can be proud of our state’s successful effort to increase military and overseas voting," noted Secretary of State Mark Ritchie in a press release. "Working closely with the governor and legislators, this office has enacted changes such as moving up the state primary, simplifying voter materials and procedures, developing the online voter information tools, and promoting the military and overseas voter foundation website that have produced positive results."
