The streets of Watertown and Mayer will be filled with bicycles and motorcycles Saturday as two separate events head through town.
The Tour de Tonka, a popular annual bike ride that starts in Minnetonka, will make its way through both Watertown and Mayer sometime on Saturday morning. More than 3,000 riders are participating overall, with more than 1,200 of them expected to participate in routes that will take them through Watertown and Mayer.
The earliest riders are expected to be in Watertown sometime slightly before 9 a.m., with the bulk arriving between 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. The last rider to reach Watertown should be around 11:15 a.m., and the last rider to reach Mayer will likely be around 11:45 a.m.
The Pizza Ranch Kid’s Ride, a motorcycle rally to raise money for the Mayo Eugenio Litta Children’s Hospital at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, will also come through Watertown and stop at Finn’s Place in Mayer on Saturday. More than 70 motorcycles are expected to pass through each town.
