Emma A. Schmidt, age 97, of Watertown, passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at the Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, Aug. 3, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Watertown with Rev. Paul Krentz officiating; visitation one hour prior to the service at the church; interment Watertown Public Cemetery.
Emma was born on January 20, 1915 in Cologne, Minn., the daughter of Ernest and Marie (Proehl) Bruesehoff.
Emma loved her family very much. She was known for her delicious apple pies. Emma was a cook at the Norseman in St. Bonifacius for 20 years. She especially enjoyed flower gardening and eating chocolates. Emma would sing or hum throughout the day and listen to music.
Emma was preceded in death by her husband Harold; daughter-in-law Joan Schmidt; parents Ernest and Marie Bruesehoff; brothers and sisters.
Emma is survived by her loving family: sons and daughter-in-law Duane and Darlene Schmidt of Annandale, Dennis Schmidt of Waconia; daughters and sons-in-law Diane and Bob Wannow of Backus, Darla and Greg Schelitzche of Waconia; grandchildren Dawn Lawson, Mike and Ann Schmidt, Toni and Troy Medlock, Wayne Schmidt, Troy Schmidt, Rick Schmidt, Allen Schmidt, Heidi and Jim Ombati, Sharie and Tim Rhea, Kim and Tom Evenson, Tammy and Steve Fenton, Sam Schelitzche; great-grandchildren Tom, Mike, Austin, Riley, Jordan, Adrianna, Austin, Nehemiah, Sarah, Josh, Heidi, Heather, Robert, Abigail; great-great-grandchildren Haden, Jackson, Miles, Braxton, Ethan, Keenen and Jonas; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
