WBA Softball Tourney

Aug. 10-12 – The WBA 5th Annual softball tournament will be held August 10-12 at Brook Peterson Park in Waconia. Games Friday & Saturday (Saturday only option available), with Sunday reserved in case of bad weather. Men and coed divisions. The entry fee is $150 (three game guarantee). Movie on the Lawn

Fri., Aug. 10 – St. Pauls’ Lutheran Church will host an outdoor movie at dusk. Free admission, free snacks and beverages. Movie will be inside if it rains.

Outdoor movie at football field

Sat., Aug. 11 – The city of Watertown will host an outdoor movie at dusk at the Watertown-Mayer High School football field.Admission is free for Remember the Titans.

Church at the Fair

Sun., Aug. 12, 10 a.m. – The Church at the Fair service will be held in the Entertainment Center at the Carver County Fair in Waconia, featuring the music of Chuck Thiel and the Jolly Ramblers.

School Board Informational Meeting

Mon., Aug. 13, 6:30 p.m. – The Watertown-Mayer School board will hold an informational session for anybody interested in running for the school board during this year’s election. The meeting will preceded a special school board meeting, which is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Sun., Aug. 19, 1 p.m. -The Montrose Days committee is accepting registrations for the 2012 Montrose Days parade. Through video teaching, class discussions and interactive small group activities, FPU presents biblical, practical steps to get from where you are to where you’ve dreamed you could be. ACCC Art Exhibit

Aug. 3-Oct. 31 – The Arts Consortium of Carver County is presenting its first ever members’ juried art show titled: The Artists of Carver County. Approximately 20 member artists will be represented at The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum’s Reedy Gallery.
