Obituaries – Harold F. Trende
Harold F. Trende, age 80, of Cologne, passed away on Friday, Aug. 10, 2012 at his residence in Cologne.
Funeral Service held on Thursday Aug. 16, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Chaska Moravian Church (115 E. 4th Street) in Chaska, Minn., with Rev. Mike Eder officiating; visitation was Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home( 141 E. First St.) in Waconia and one hour prior to the service at church; interment Chaska Moravian Cemetery in Chaska.
Harold was born on Nov. 11, 1931 in Dahlgren Township, Minn., the son of Orville and Edna (Haering) Trende. Harold was baptized and confirmed at the Chaska Moravian Church. On Nov. 25, 1952 Harold was united in marriage to Mabel C. Buszmann at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine.
Harold was a lifelong resident of Dahlgren Township of Carver County where he was engaged in farming. Harold loved being outdoors and taking care of the farm. Harold had served as a Carver County Commissioner for 16 years and was a past Director of KleinBank. Harold was active in the Cologne Lions, the Chaska Moravian Church and many county committees over the years. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed telling stories. A big sports fan, Harold enjoyed watching the Twins and the Vikings. Harold enjoyed going to the cabin, fishing, hunting, and just being in the outdoors.
Harold and Mabel shared 59 years of marriage. He will be remembered for his devotion to Mabel and being such a dedicated caregiver prior to her death in May of this year.
Harold is preceded in death by his wife Mabel Trende; parents Orville and Edna Trende; brother and sister-in-law Clifford and Elsie Trende; father-in-law and mother-in-law George and Emma Buszmann brother-in-law and sisters-in-law Clarence and Erma Buszmann, Hilda Buszmann.
Harold is survived by his loving family; daughter Cleo Lenzen and Scott Smith of Chaska; son Roger Trende of Longville; grandchildren Andrew Lenzen and Nancy Pechonick, Triston Trende; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Elmer and Liela Buszmann of Belle Plaine; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
