Bruce R. “Red” Larson, Age 84, of Eden Prairie, passed away Aug. 14, 2012.
Red was preceded in death by his parents, Lenus and Florence; and grandson, Bruce III. He was a graduate of Minneapolis Washburn and the University of Minnesota, lettering in boxing, and followed his father’s footsteps in the electrical business, attending Dunwoody and joining Local 292 along with two sons, Bruce Jr. and Matthew.
Red loved golf, playing piano, jazz music, and chocolate chip ice cream. He called himself “The Luckiest Man on Earth” to have loving wife Jackie for 61 years and “Four Great Kids” he was so proud of. Survived by his wife, Jacquelyn; children, Bruce Jr. (Elaine), Holly (Paul) Neaton, Joel (Julie) and Matthew; grand- children, Rachel, Nick (Amelia), Sam (Brittany), Peter, Henry, Ella, and Ava; great-grandchildren, Mary, Max, and soon-to-be Reamy Jo.
Thanks to the second floor staff at the Minnesota Masonic Home and Fairview Hospice for their excellent care. Memorials preferred to Faith Church, American Heart Association or donor’s choice. The memorial service was Saturday, Aug. 18, with at Faith Church in Minnetonka. Private interment at Lakewood Cemetery.
