Mass of Christian Burial was at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church for Eunice Ann Orth, 82, of Chaska, formerly of St. Cloud, who died peacefully on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012 at Marie Steiner Kelting Hospice House in Chaska. Rev. Gerald Dalseth will officiate and burial will be at Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud. Relatives and friends called from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 20, at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in St. Cloud and one hour prior to mass on Tuesday at St. Paul’s Catholic Church. Parish prayers were prayed at 5 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Ann was born on Nov. 14, 1929 in Doerun, Ga., to Harrison Watson and Daisy (Mashburn) Horne. She met Jim Orth during his service in the Air Force in Georgia, they married on July 9, 1949 in Albany, Ga. The couple moved to St. Cloud, Minn., to Concord, Calif., and in 1961 settled back in St. Cloud. Together with her husband, Ann owned and operated Orth’s 1st Ward Market in St. Cloud. Ann enjoyed golfing at Wapicada, bowling, dancing, music, and her church. She especially loved spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Paul’s Church, Eagles Aerie #622 Auxiliary and past member of the Daughters of Isabella. Ann is survived her children, Linda (Jeff) Schnobrich of Waconia, Kathryn (James) Ammon of Tucson, Ariz., Daniel of Staples, Peggy (Mark) Giese of Gilbert; grandchildren, Daniel and Jennifer Schnobrich, Conrad and Elizabeth Ammon, Brianne and Derek Orth, and Nathan and Drew Giese; her special friend and sister-in-law, Elaine Orth of St. Cloud; other relatives, and many nieces and nephews. Ann had many special friends with whom she always stayed connected. She will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, James; and siblings, Lillian Eller, Mayo Horne, and Frances Fulkerson.
