Obit: Marie M. Kepke

Marie M. Kepke, age 89, of Mound, passed away on Friday, Aug. 24, 2012 at the Presbyterian Homes in Spring Park.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial held on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church (2385 Commerce Blvd.) Mound with Father Tim Dolan as celebrant of the Mass; gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the Mass at church; interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
Marie was born on Sept. 4, 1922 in Waconia the daughter of Frank and Mayme (Maiser) Weinzierl. On May 18, 1946 she was united in marriage to Irving Kepke Jr. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waconia.
Marie’s family was the most important part of her life, helping them out in any way she could. She was a very social person bringing a smile to everyone’s face. Marie was on the coffee clutch bowling league for 25 years and was a counter and reader at church for many years.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband Irving; parents Frank and Mayme Weinzierl; sisters Irene Strong, Katie Weinzierl; brothers Francis and Rueben Weinzierl.
Marie is survived by her loving family: daughters and sons-in-law Jean and John Shultz of Onamia, Susan and David English of Mound; son Stephen Kepke of Maple Plain; granddaughter Katie Shultz and fiancé Justin Larwa; brother and sister-in-law Edwin and Norma Weinzierl of Park Rapids; sister Lorraine Heimkes of Spring Park; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Arrangements are with the Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia;
