Obit: Marcille I. Brelje
Marcille I. Brelje, age 82 of Norwood Young America, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012 at the Glencoe Regional Health Services Long Term Care. A funeral service was held on Monday, Sept. 3 at 11 a.m. at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe with Rev. Ronald Mathison officiating; visitation was from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the church; interment at the First Lutheran Cemetery in Glencoe. Casket bearers were Sharol Ernst, Delton Brelje, Lendra Tesch, Darron Brelje, Barton Brelje and Brian Brelje.
Marcille was born on March 17, 1930 in Waconia Township, the daughter of Andrew and Pearl (Filbrandt) Stender. She was baptized on April 20, 1930 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Young America by Rev. Kramer and confirmed on April 2, 1944 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Young America by Rev. Kramer. On June 2, 1948 Marcille was united in marriage to Reuben Brelje at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Young America. Marcille loved life and was always willing to help other people when needed. She will be remembered for her smile and warm heart. She will be missed by all.
She is preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Pearl Stender; brothers-in-law Donald Smith and Philip Krumm.
Marcille is survived by her loving family; children Sharol (David) Ernst of Glencoe, Delton (Miriam) Brelje of Norwood Young America, Lendra (Michael) Tesch of Glencoe, Darron (Sheri) Brelje of St. Paul, Barton Brelje of Matamoras, Penn., Brian (Kelly) Brelje of Tampa, Fla.; grandchildren Torrey and Amy Ernst, Tristin and James Sprengeler, Janel Harper, Kristine Brelje, Amber Sievers, BraeLynn and Ryan Glander, Brandt and Amy Brelje, Brenden Tesch, Alana Kenyon, Ben Sweep, Spencer Brelje, Jasmine Brelje, Kylie Brelje, Isabella Brelje; great-grandchildren Alexandra, Tyler, Parker, Preston, Anna, ScotLynn, Natalie, Carson, Cohen, Olivia, Karlie, Abigail, Jacob, Jack, Pete; sisters Lorraine Smith of Monticello, Pearl Krumm of Texas; sisters-in-law Leila Brelje of Norwood Young America, Margaret Buckentin of Hamburg; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
