LEO Club meetings
FIRST AND THIRD SUNDAYS — Cologne Leos meet at 6:30 pm at 107 Paul Avenue South Cologne mn. 55322 (The Clubhouse). The group is also doing a monthly Parents Night Out to raise money for its rent. It consists of parents signing up and dropping their kids off at the Clubhouse on the nights the Leos are hosting and the group will provide crafts, games, a pancake meal popcorn and a movie. THURSDAY, SEPT. 13 — The quarterly meeting of the Willkommen Heritage and Preservation Society will take place at the Heritage Center (102 E Main St., NYA) beginning at 7 p.m. Topics of discussion will be the fall theme and a wrap up on the displays for Stiftungsfest. ‘Alice in Wonderland’
THURSDAY, SEPT. 13 TO SATURDAY, SEPT. 16 AND FRIDAY AND SATURDAY, SEPT. 21-22 — River City Theatre Company will present its seventh production, “Alice in Wonderland” at the Watertown-Mayer High School Performing Arts Center. Soup and bread
FRIDAY, SEPT. 14 — The Harbor (300 N Faxon Road, NYA) is hosting an “All You Care To Eat” soup and bread fundraiser meal for $8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Choice of seven different soups, assorted breads and a slice of pie. There will also be a bake sale. Proceeds will help offset the cost of the Fall Ball on Nov. 1. Take outs are available by calling ahead to (952) 467-3692, ext. 4.
Pork chop dinner

Memory loss support
TUESDAY, SEPT. 18 — The Lutheran Home: Belle Plaine and its Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association provide resources and a support group for community members whose lives are touched by Alzheimer’s disease and other memory loss disorders. The monthly support group is free and open to the public. The next meeting takes place Sept. 18 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Kingsway Retirement Living in the Ratzkeller. “Caring and Sharing “will be the topic. St. John’s paper drive
FRIDAY, SEPT. 28 TO SUNDAY, SEPT. 30 — St. John’s Lutheran School in NYA will be hosting a paper drive. The truck will be parked at the north end of the school parking lot. Paper products and cardboard will be accepted. No plastic bags.
Pork chop dinner
SUNDAY, SEPT. 30 — The Plato Lions are hosting a pork chop dinner from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Plato Hall. Cost is $8.50 for adults, $6.50 for ages 5-12 and free for those under age 4.
