Fall Softener Salt Sale
The Waconia Wrestling and Baseball teams have kicked off their annual fall water softener salt sale. District 110 residents can order salt and have it delivered to their homes on Saturday, Oct. 13. ‘Alice in Wonderland’
SEPT. 21-22 – River City Theatre Company will present its seventh production, “Alice in Wonderland,” at the Watertown-Mayer High School Performing Arts Center. Sept. 21 show is at 7 p.m. and Sept. 22 is at 2 p.m. Tickets are $9 for adults and $7 for students. Info: RiverCityTheatreCompany.org.
Young At Heart event
FRIDAY, SEPT. 21 – Waconia’s Young at Heart (YAH) Club members will gather for a wine tasting event at Parley Lake Winery at noon. BYO lunch for a picnic on the grounds of the winery. ECFE Family Safety Fair
SATURDAY, SEPT. 22 – Parents and children ages birth-5 are invited to a Family Safety Fair from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the Waconia Fire Station. Waconia firefighters, CCSO deputies and Ridgeview paramedics will provide safety information for families with young children. SPARKY, the firehouse dog and McGruff, the police dog will greet children. Enjoy fire engine rides, a bounce house, face painting, treats and prizes. National Gymnastics Day
SATURDAY, SEPT. 22 – Laketown Gymnastics in Waconia is joining USA Gymnastics in their effort to “Turn the World Upside Down” on National Gymnastics Day! At noon, gymnasts, families, friends and enthusiasts nationwide will turn upside down, snap a photo and share it on the USA Gymnastics Facebook page. Last year, more than 20,000 people broke the world record for simultaneous handstands. We hope to help break that record this year. Laketown Gymnastics will donate $1 to The Children’s Miracle Network for each person who participates. Arrive at 11:30 a.m. for a couple of trial runs. A treat will be served afterward. Grief Support Group
MONDAY, SEPT. 24 – The Grief Support Group: Rebuilding Hope, sponsored by Ridgeview Medical Center, will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Ridgeview Medical Center. This support group is for those experiencing grief or anticipating a loss of someone they care about. MONDAY, SEPT. 24 – Carver County Public Health (600 E 4th ST, Chaska) will hold an Immunization Clinic from 3 to 5 p.m. Public Health provides immunizations to residents who do not have health insurance or whose insurance does not cover immunizations.
