Senior Citizens meet
Fourteen members of the Mayer Senior Citizens group met at the Mayer Community Center on Monday for their monthly potluck dinner. The game of bunco was played until 1:30 p.m. Our next get-together will be on Monday, Oct. 1 at 11:30 a.m. Make plans on attending for a good time with your friends.
Zion’s 100 Year Celebration
Remember to put on your calendar the 100 Year Celebration Carnival of Zion’s Christian Education Ministry. It will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27. There will be lots of games, bouncy house, pony rides, pumpkin decorating, and much more. You won’t want to miss the cheese curds, mini donuts, apple caramel bowls, hamburgers and more. The entire community is welcome to attend.
Members of Zion will be serving a Turkey Dinner on Nov. 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Watch this space for additional information.
The Farmers Market will remain open on Thursday afternoons from 3 to 6 p.m. as long as there is interest. The Market is held on the corner of Ash. Ave. S and County Road 30 West.
The Mayer City Council will have a meeting starting at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 24.
The compost site will remain open until all the leaves are off the trees. Bring your yard waste on Wednesday evenings from 5 to 7 p.m. and on Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. to noon.
