Card of Thanks – Friends of the Waconia Library

Friends of the Library, Waconia take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all the local citizens who patronized and helped to make our Nickle Dickle Day Book Sale a huge success. We give special thanks to Troop #327 Boy Scouts, their parents and Committee Leader, Tony Luft, and children and grandchildren of several members for their help in setting up and taking down, as well as the 40-some volunteer members of the Friends of the Library who gave so generously of their time and effort.
Additionally, we thank all those who donated their used books for the sale. We urge folks to continue to donate gently used books, year ‘round. You may drop them off at the library Monday through Saturday. Our next Sale will be in April 2013.
Proceeds from these sales are used for a variety of items and a number of programs not covered by the County Library budget. Most recently, we purchased $1,000 worth of large print books, new shelves for the Teen Room and helped to sponsor the children’s and adult summer programs.
Last, but certainly not least, we extend a hearty thanks to The Waconia Patriot for helping us to “get the word out” with articles regarding our library activities.
