Central High School will be holding a ‘Higher Education Night’ for parents and their children on Monday, Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium.
All District 108 parents and students are invited, no matter what age or what school your child attends. The following college representatives will be making presentations this year: Normandale Community College, Bemidji State University, Rasmussen College, University of Minnesota Twin Cities and Crown College.
In addition, a representative from the Minnesota Office of Higher Education will attend to offer information on how to choose a college and career, and how to prepare academically.
This meeting is very informative as to the differences between two and four-year colleges, public and private colleges, and what parents and students should expect to look for while making the big decision about which college to attend.
Come prepared with questions you may have for these institutions or for colleges in general. Registration is requested by Sept. 28 by calling Mrs. Heckmann (secretary) at 467-7109 or Mrs. Yaeck (dean of students) at 467-7108.
