LHS girls crush Prairie Seeds

In a 7-0 shutout on Sept. 25, the Mayer Lutheran girls’ soccer team defeated Prairie Seeds Academy on the road. Head coach Stefan Wismar said the game was full of opportunities.

“It was a great game for our girls to work on their tactical play preparing them for a tough final week of the regular season,” he said.

A host of Crusaders contributed goals during the game including Paige Schneider, Grace Gassen (2), Terrin Boozikee, Belle Flucas, Brenna Larsen, and Libby Baumgartner.

The Crusaders are currently 4-4-1 this season. They will wrap up the regular season this week against Watertown-Mayer (Oct. 4) and Glencoe-Silver Lake (Oct. 6). Section seeding and games will be announced early next week.
