Sinnen named UMAC Player of the Week

Northwestern College sophomore Josh Sinnen, of Waconia, was recently selected as the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week the week of Sept. 25, representing Northwestern (Division III) in St. Paul.

With the Eagles this season, Sinnen has rushed over 300 yards and received for over 100. He leads the team with seven touchdowns scored. The Eagles are 4-1 so far.

Sinnen was recognized as the Offensive Player of the Week for his three-touchdown game against MacMurray on Sept. 22. In that game, he rushed 77 yards on six carries for two touchdowns, and also caught a pass for an 82-yard touchdown.

A 2011 graduate of Waconia High School, Sinnen is the son of Scot and Barb Sinnen of Waconia.
