CONDENSED MINUTES OF THE WATERTOWN CITY COUNCIL
Tuesday, September 11, 2012
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the Watertown City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 by Acting Mayor Rick Mann in the Watertown City Hall.
Upon Roll Call the following Council Members were present: Mann, Nicholas Hoese and Michael Walters. Mayor K. J. McDonald and Council Member Stephen Crowder were absent. City Staff present: Luke Fischer, Crystal Paumen and Andrew Budde.
Other visitors and guests were present.
The following motions were approved by the Council:
2. Motion to adopt the agenda as amended. Motion carried 3-0.
3. Motion to adopt the consent agenda. Motion carried 3-0.
6A. Motion to postpone the public hearing for the Keiffer Street vacation until the next council meeting, September 25, 2012. Motion carried 3-0.
6B. Motion to approve an aluminum pole and base with underground fed electrical service for $6,216. Motion carried 3-0.
6D-1. Motion to approve Resolution 2012-09-11-2 adopting a preliminary 2012 tax levy for the City of Watertown for collection in 2013 in the amount of $2,006,972. Motion carried 3-0.
6D-2. Motion to approve Resolution 2012-09-11-3, adopting a preliminary 2012 tax levy for the Watertown Economic Development Authority for collection in 2013 in the amount of $40,806. Motion carried 3-0.
6E. Motion to approve the Community Park donation agreement amendment including a clarification in Section 2.F approving the current site of Peace Lutheran Church; contingent on representatives of the Berg Family and Peace Lutheran Church signing the agreement amendment. Motion carried 3-0.
9A-1. Motion to approve the $22,782.37 Pay Request No. 1 from LaTour Construction for the 2012 Street and Park Project. Motion carried 3-0.
9B. Motion to allow the Watertown Fire Department to do training at 804 Hutchinson Road prior to the house being torn down. Motion carried 3-0.
10A. Motion to approve the voucher list/claims roster. Motion carried 3-0.11. Meeting was adjourned at 6:57 p.m.
