WHS announces Homecoming King and Queen
2012 Waconia High School Homecoming Court
In a special assembly on Oct. 5, Waconia High School named its 2012 Homecoming Court. The event featured a performance by the Waconia High School Jazz Band and a video montage of the senior court being woken at 4 a.m. to learn of their candidacy. Seniors Elise Rogers and Gabe Zempel were elected as this year’s King and Queen.

The entire court includes, front row: seniors Josh Watts, Ryan Mattson, Tyler Thomas, Billy Schultz, Brady Johnson, King Gabe Zempel, Queen Elise Rogers, Sophia Younkin, Kelly Luce, Jeni Haler, Sarah Christians, and Madeline Beuning; back row: freshman Ethan Vilmain, sophomore Nathan Glynn, junior Shawn McHale, junior Brittany Johnson, sophomore Kia Pankey, and freshman Lily Hastings.
