2012 Carver County Agriculture Society Annual Meeting Notice

The Carver County Agriculture Society will hold it Annual Meeting at the Administration Building on the fairgrounds in Waconia on:
Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012 beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Reports pertaining to the 2012 Carver County Fair will be presented by President, Curtis Wolter, Secretery Twyla Menth and Treasurer Lindsay Willems.
Directors terms expiring at this time are:
Dale Rademacher, Waconia
Ken Norman, Waconia
Shawn Dalchow, Mayer
Bill Flusemann, NYA

Notice is Hereby Given that the Hamburg City Council will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012 at 7 p.m. at the Hamburg Community Center at 181 Broadway Ave., Hamburg, MN.  Hamburg City Council Meeting to follow the Public Hearing.
The reason for the Public Hearing is to receive comments on Ordinance Number 143 for establishing City Council wages for special meetings and the number of monthly council meetings.

Mayor Tina Diedrick called the Closed Meeting to order at 6 p.m.
Council Present: Tina Diedrick, JR Hoernemann, Jim Keller, Dick Stolz, Carol Lagergren
Council Absent: None
Mayor Diedrick called the meeting to order at 6 p.m.
Motion: JK/CL; all in favor, to close the City Council meeting to discuss litigation against the City of Norwood Young America.
Motion: CL/HH; all in favor, to open the Sept. 10 City Council meeting.
Motion: CL/HH, all in favor to approve the agenda as presented.
Motion: JK/CL, all in favor, to approve the consent agenda as stated, with thank you to Chris Bahr for filling in during the absence of the Public Works Director.
4.1 Approve minutes of Aug. 13, 2012
4.2 Approve payment of claims
4.3 Set annual lump sum benefit for NYA Firefighters Relief Association — Resolution 2012-32
4.4 Approve Water Treatment Facility Change Order and final payment request
4.5 Approve hourly increase for current Public Works and Public Utilities part-time employees
4.6 Approve temporary supervisor’s pay for Public Works employee
4.7 Approve re-purchase of cemetery plot

Motion: JK/DS, all in favor to approve Resolution 2012-33, a resolution adopting a preliminary 2013 General Fund Operating Budget for the City of Norwood Young America.
Motion: JK/HH, all in favor to adopt Resolution 2012-34, a resolution adopting a preliminary 2012 Tax Levy for the City of Norwood Young America for collection in 2013.
Motion: CL/DS, all in favor to adopt Resolution 2012-35, a resolution authorizing the levy of a Special Benefit Levy, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 469.033, Subdivision 6 by the Norwood Young America Economic Development Authority.
Motion: CL/DS, all in favor to approve the sharing of the licensing requirements for the Wastewater Treatment Plant with the City of Watertown for up to 6 to 8 hours per week at a cost of $50 per hour to be reviewed in three months.
Motion: CL/DS, all in favor, to adjourn the meeting at 8:23 p.m.
