Homeward Bound Theatre Company will offer “Beginning Acting” Thursdays, Oct. 25 through Nov. 15 from 2:45 to 4:15 p.m. at Bayview Elementary School in Waconia. Students in grades 1-4 will learn the “how to” of theatre (character dynamics, costuming, basic acting, auditioning and more) through authentic theatre games and exercises. Fall Softener Salt Sale
The Waconia Wrestling and Baseball teams have kicked off their annual fall water softener salt sale. District 110 residents can order salt and have it delivered to their homes on Saturday, Oct. 13. Family Fall Festival
FRIDAY, OCT. 12 – The community is invited to the Family Fall Festival at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waconia from 5:30 to 8 p.m. in the gym. Children, preschool-4th grade, will enjoy a bounce house, hayride, face painting, games, prizes, and more! Walking tacos, beverages, and dessert will be served.
FRIDAY, OCT. 12 – Visit the Waconia Fellowship of Christian Athletes at its trailer at the Waconia football game. The group will play dodge ball, enjoy ice cream, and share a great message at Crown College from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14.
St. Bernard Chili Feed
SATURDAY, OCT. 13 – The Church of St. Bernard, 212 Church St. E., Cologne will hold a Chili Feed after the 5 p.m. Mass. Join St. Bernard’s for live music, a chili supper (free-will offering), refreshments and fellowship. Tickets for the cash raffle can be purchased at the door for $25 (does not include supper).
