Friday’s events include a parade at 1:30 p.m. and a community pep fest in the school gym at 2:30 p.m. The football game against Sibley East begins at 7 p.m. with the school dance to follow.
There is a new parade route this year that does not cross Highway 212. The parade will begin at the elementary school, proceed to the five-way stop, turn left up SE 2nd Avenue and turn right near St. John’s Lutheran Church on SE 1st Street.
The procession will then turn left at the fire station on SE 3rd Avenue, pass the Flower Mill and take a left down Main street toward St. John’s school. A final left turn will bring the parade down Central Avenue for a finish on SW 7th Street at the school.
