Citizens attend fire department event
More than 1,000 people attended the Fall Pancake, French Toast and Sausage Breakfast and Open House held by the Waconia Fire Department on Sunday, Oct. 7. The fundraiser helps the department raise funds for equipment, recognition banquets and other items that aren’t funded through its Operating Budget. On behalf of the department, Chief Mark Morse expressed his thanks to everyone who attended and for their continued support. Morse thanked the Waconia Hockey Association, which provided parents and players to help bus tables and perform other tasks, and Carver County Public Health for sponsoring and staffing a table about emergency preparedness.
