LHS girls end regular season 0-3

The Mayer Lutheran girls soccer team lost in the first round of Section 6A play on Oct. 9, falling 11-0 to Holy Family.

After their big 6-0 win over Prairie Seeds Academy on Sept. 25, the Mayer Lutheran girls’ soccer team ended the season with three straight losses.

First falling to Southwest Christian 12-1 on Oct. 2, the Crusaders were then shut out by Watertown-Mayer in a 4-0 contest on Oct. 4. The regular season ended with a 4-3 loss to Glencoe-Silver Lake on Oct. 6. The Crusaders finished the season 4-7-1 and will compete in Section 6A.

Drawing the No. 14 seed, Mayer Lutheran took on No. 3 Holy Family on Oct. 9. Results of that contest were not available when this issue went to press. The winner will face the winner of No. 6 Waconia/No. 11 Southwest Christian on Oct. 11.
