A day of unity

The students and staff of ISD #110 and other area schools celebrated Unity Day on Wednesday, Oct. 10. On Unity Day, everyone was asked to wear orange — such as these second grade students at Bayview Elementary School — to show one’s commitment to put an end to bullying. Waconia HERO’s Coalition helped organize the event, which was held in conjunction with PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Month in October. Unity Day is one of many activities designed to raise awareness of bullying prevention through events, activities, outreach, and education.
