Help mail cards for soldiers

Looking for a way to give back to our military members?

The Cologne Lions and Cologne Leo’s Club along with the West Carver Lions and Mayer Watertown DandyLions are sponsoring a community event to do just that. All are welcome to join in on Saturday, Nov. 10 starting at 9 a.m. for an opportunity to make greeting cards that will be mailed to soldiers for their use to send the greeting cards home to their families and friends.

This event will be held at the Cologne Academy at 1221 South Village Parkway. The cards will be distributed through Scrapping for Soldiers. Please see their website www.scrappingforsoldiers.com for further information regarding this local organization.

Know of a local soldier serving our country? Please contact Paula at (952) 466-5776 or send an email to stephenspmt@gmail.com with name and address so that a card package can be sent to the service member.

Want to help? Join in on Nov. 10 to assist with card making and packaging. Card kits will be ready to go and no crafting experience is needed. Donations for postage and cost of card supplies will be accepted on Nov. 10 or in advance by making contacting Paula.
