Free Hot dinner at St. Paul’s
1st Thursday, 5:30-6:30 p.m. Please join St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (505 Westminster Avenue. SW in Watertown) once a month for a wonderful full course hot dinner. All are invited every first Thursday of the month. Info: 955-1498.

Tri-County Toastmasters

Peace Lutheran
Wednesdays – The “JAM! Jesus and Me!”  Wednesday afterschool program will be starting Sept. 12.  This program is designed to help kids think bigger, better and grander thoughts about our awesome God!  We will be studying God’s Word, teaching kids how to apply it to their lives, having fun with arts/crafts, music, skits, games and enjoying fellowship! Harbingers Quartet
Sun., Nov. 11, 6 p.m. -Faith Community Church of Independence is especially excited to have “The Harbingers Quartet” in concert at their Annual Pre-Thanksgiving Concert.   The concert will be followed by a pie fellowship in the lower auditorium. The Concert is free, but a free will offering will be received which will go towards Love INC. Heartland and a roofing project for the church.   Faith Community Church is located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 12 and County Road 90, one mile west of Maple Plain.

Veterans Appreciation Dinner
Mon., Nov. 12, 6:30 p.m. – The  Watertown-Mayer Boy Scout Troop 209 will be hosting a Veterans Appreciation dinner in the Community Center.  Pizza will be served.  RSVP 952-412-0762.

Pork chop dinner
Sat., Nov. 17, 4-9 p.m. – Enjoy Uncle Neddy’s Pork Chops, a Community Fair including local artists, bakers and vendors and music entertainment at Christ Community Lutheran School’s Fall Event! Vendor opportunities are still available for the Community Fair. Please contact CCLS at 952-955-1419 for more info. Advance tickets are $10. Tickets available in the CCLS office.

Mayer 4-H

CCLCCA Training
Tues., Nov. 20, 6:30 p.m. – The Carver County Licensed Family Child Care Association will meet November 20th for a training titled, “Family Child Care Money Management and Retirement Planning.”  Training starts at 6:30 p.m. with “Shaken Baby” viewing.  Money Management Training is from 7-9 p.m. Family child care providers meet for training each month at the Early Childhood Center in Chaska on Village Parkway.  For additional information, contact Sue at 952-466-4735 or check our website at cclchildcare.org.

Butter Braid Sale
Nov. 7-21 – Junior and senior students at Watertown Mayer High school are selling Butter Braids as a fundraiser for the post prom event.  There are a variety of flavors and they sell for $11 each.  Students receive a $4 profit for each item sold. The Braids are on sale November 7-21. Arrival on Dec. 10.  Just in time for the holiday! Please call Michelle Zuelzke at 612 240-0473 to place your orders.

Free Holiday Dinner
Tues., Dec. 4, 4 p.m. – The Watertown Commission on Aging will be hosting its annual free holiday dinner for area senior citizens on Tuesday, Dec. 4 in the Watertown Community Center at 309 Lewis Ave. S. Social time will begin at 4 p.m. with dinner at 4:30 p.m. The Watertown-Mayer School jazz band will provide musical entertainment. People should register before November 21 by calling Community Education at 952-955-0280. Registering helps determine how many will be attending and how much food to provide.
