Wednesdays – The “JAM! Jesus and Me!” Wednesday afterschool program will be starting Sept. 12. This program is designed to help kids think bigger, better and grander thoughts about our awesome God! Sun., Nov. 11, 6 p.m. -Faith Community Church of Independence is especially excited to have “The Harbingers Quartet” in concert at their Annual Pre-Thanksgiving Concert. The concert will be followed by a pie fellowship in the lower auditorium. The Concert is free, but a free will offering will be received which will go towards Love INC. Heartland and a roofing project for the church. Faith Community Church is located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 12 and County Road 90, one mile west of Maple Plain.

Butter Braid Sale
Nov. 7-21 – Junior and senior students at Watertown Mayer High school are selling Butter Braids as a fundraiser for the post prom event. There are a variety of flavors and they sell for $11 each. Students receive a $4 profit for each item sold. The Braids are on sale November 7-21. Arrival on Dec. 10. Just in time for the holiday! Free Holiday Dinner
Tues., Dec. 4, 4 p.m. – The Watertown Commission on Aging will be hosting its annual free holiday dinner for area senior citizens on Tuesday, Dec. 4 in the Watertown Community Center at 309 Lewis Ave. S. Social time will begin at 4 p.m. with dinner at 4:30 p.m. The Watertown-Mayer School jazz band will provide musical entertainment. People should register before November 21 by calling Community Education at 952-955-0280. Registering helps determine how many will be attending and how much food to provide.
