Steven Craig Bogema, 60, a St. Louis Park resident, passed away July 27, 2012. Steven was an adventure-travel junkie, who had a passion for trekking and sea kayaking. He died unexpectedly while abroad visiting Vanuatu, his 47th country.
Steve graduated from Wayzata high school in 1970 and attended two years at St. Cloud State University. After finishing college, Steve was employed at Ver-Sa-Til Associates as a purchasing agent. He was a considerate man of great spirit, intelligence, curiosity, and a sense of humor.
Steve is survived by his siblings, T.J. (Deb) Bogema of Watertown, Blake (Noy Southa) Bogema of Excelsior, Becky
(Dave) Hayden of Mayer and Todd (Jean) Bogema of Excelsior; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Jopp, Jason Bogema, Matt Bogema, Shaunna Kane, Jessica Bogema-Baumann, Andrew Bogema, Bryan Bogema, Priscilla Bogema, Nathan Bogema, Tyler Hayden, Elizabeth Hayden, and Benjamin Hayden; great nieces and nephews: Makayla Bogema, Hailey Bogema, Jayden Bogema, Leslie Bogema, Austin Kane, Olivia Baumann, Ella Baumann, Sophia Baumann, and Tanner Baumann. He is preceded in death by his father, Delbert John Bogema and mother, Priscilla Mary Bogema.
An open house “Celebration of Steve” will be held Nov. 17 at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, 3675 Arboretum Drive, Chaska, MN 55318, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Luncheon will be served 11-1 p.m.
