‘Oklahoma’ at LHS

Teen Challenge Choir
SUNDAY, NOV. 18 – Minnetrista Baptist Church (8325 Kennedy Memorial Drive in St. Bonifacius) is hosting the Minnesota Teen Challenge Choir at 10:30 a.m. The choir is composed of residents in long-term drug addiction treatment programs. Residents tell how they have recovered from substance abuse and alcoholism and how Jesus has changed their lives. A free will offering will be taken for Teen Challenge.
Holiday Open Skate
SUNDAY, NOV. 18 – A Thanksgiving Open Skate will be held at the Waconia Ice Arena (1250 Oak Avenue) from noon to 2 p.m. Adults: $3.50, kids/seniors: $2.50 (free admission for each participant who brings a donation for the Waconia United Food Shelf). Skate rental: $2.50. For safety reasons, skating aids/trainers will NOT be allowed on the ice for this event.

NOV. 23-24 – The Waconia Wildcat girls’ basketball team invites the community to the inaugural Thanksgiving Tipoff Tournament Friday, Nov. 23 and Saturday, Nov. 24 in the WHS gym. Friday, Elk River faces Zimmerman at 5 p.m. while the Wildcats square off against Hudson, Wis., at 7 p.m. The third place game will tip off at 2 p.m. on Saturday; championship game begins at 4 p.m. Adults: $6, children: $3.
