Zion Thanksgiving Services
Zion Lutheran Church of Mayer will celebrate Thanksgiving with two worship services. The first will be on Wednesday evening, Nov. 21, at 7 p.m., with Holy Communion.

The second service will be on Thursday, Nov. 22, at 9 a.m., with Holy Communion. The adult choir will sing.

Dates of Importance
Just a reminder that the City offices will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on both Thursday and Friday, Nov. 22-23.
Because of the Thanksgiving holiday, there will be garbage and recycling pick-up on Saturday, Nov. 24, instead of the usual Friday for this week. Have bins at curbside by 7 a.m.

Monday, Nov. 26, members of the Mayer City Council will have a meeting starting at 6;30 p.m.

On Monday, Dec. 3, members of the New Germany Legion and Auxiliary will have a meeting at the New Germany Hall starting at 7 p.m.

Plan now to attend the Christmas gift exchange and pot luck dinner for the senior citizens on Monday, Dec. 3. More new on this in next week’s issue of the paper.

Zion Lutheran girls’ basketball starts with a preseason tournament on Friday, Nov. 30 and Saturday, Dec. 1.
