With one win and one tie at the Prior Lake tournament over Thanksgiving weekend, the Holy Family/Waconia Wildfire are 2-1-1 before conference play kicks off next week.

Even after an overtime period on Nov. 23, the game with Dodge County could not be resolved and a 1-1 tie was declared. Junior Sarah Rosland scored 22 seconds into the game and the Wildfire held on to that lead until the third period when Dodge County tied at 6:24. Waconia outshot Dodge County 30-26.
Freshman Lexi Hartmann played all 59 minutes in goal and ended with a .962 save percentage.
Holy Family/Waconia 5, Holy Angels 2
Against the Academy of Holy Angels the next day, Rosland once again scored the first goal for the Wildfire in the first period. Junior Brityn Ryshavy had the assist. Holy Angels tied the game at 1-1 before the end of the first period.
In the second, senior Jaci Reinke found the back of net unassisted at 5:31, before Rosland scored a short-handed goal at 6:22, assisted by junior Jamie Kichler. At 14:23, freshman Megan Menzuber made it 4-1 in favor of the Wildfire on an assist from sophomore Karlie McEnelly.
Rosland completed her hat trick in the third period, another short-handed goal at 1:55. Ryshavy once again was on the assist. Holy Angels scored at 5:08, but could not close the gap.
