Enjoy an Old-Fashioned Pioneer Christmas at historical society

Are you tired of Christmas being all about finding the perfect gift and the latest gadgets? Do you want to get back to a simpler time, when gifts were handmade and Christmas was a time to give thanks with family?

Visit the Carver County Historical Society on Saturday, Dec. 15 to learn how the pioneer settlers may have celebrated. Make old-fashioned ornaments, gifts from a simpler time, and hear Christmas tales of old as you enjoy hot cocoa or cider. This event is free and suitable for kids and adults of all ages.

The event begins at noon and runs until 3 p.m. at 555 W 1st Street in Waconia.
