Advent service scheduled for Dec. 12. The theme for the evening will be Advent Choral Service. Time will be at 7 p.m. There will be an Advent supper served starting at 5:30 p.m. in the Church Fellowship Hall. Zion PTL will have a Cookie Walk on Sunday, Dec. 16, at the school from 9 a.m. to noon. Join us and purchase some delicious homemade cookies for your Christmas celebration.

Wednesday, Dec. 19, Zion students will have a Christmas service at 7 p.m. at Lutheran High School of Mayer. The program will be given by the students from K-8 grades.

Just a reminder that you may purchase water softener salt from the seventh and eighth grade students of Zion. Money earned from this project will be used towards their trip to Washington D.C. Just call Zion at 657-2339 to place your order. The salt will be delivered to your home and put into your softener.

Mayer 4-H

Members of the Mayer 4-H club will meet on Sunday, Dec. 16, at the Mayer Community Center at 6 p.m. Prospective members are welcome to attend. The club meets on the third Sunday of each month. If you have questions, please call Melanie Menth at 612-749-0400.

Dates of Importance

Members of the Mayer City Council will have a meeting on Monday, Dec. 10, at 6:30 p.m.

There will be garbage and recycle pickup this Friday. Have bins at curbside by 7 a.m.
