Lois L. Plocher, age 80 of Mayer, passed away Tuesday Nov. 27, 2012, at the Elim Home in Watertown.
A Memorial Service was held Friday November 30, at 2:30 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia with Rev. Lucas Woodford officiating; gathering of family and friends from 1:00 pm am until the time of the service at the funeral home; Interment at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Mayer.
Lois was born on July 11, 1932, in Watertown the daughter of Fred and Olga (Berwald) Gongoll. She was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in the Christian Faith at Zion Lutheran Church in Mayer. Lois was a loving wife, mother, grandma and great grandma.
She enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. Lois loved to cook, fish, crochet, and speak German. She was a hard worker and enjoyed listening to old tyme music.
She is preceded in death by her son Clarke Plocher; father and mother Fred and Olga Gongoll; brothers Harold, Earl and David Gongoll; step-father George Moore; sisters-in-law Evelyn Gongoll, Joan Gongoll; brother-in-law Leonard Hoese.
Lois is survived by her loving family, husband Gordon; daughters Pamela Plocher of Tyler, Texas, Phyllis (Carl) Groebner of Clements; son Mark Plocher of Delano; grandchildren Angela Groebner, David and Lori Groebner, Beth and Ryan Heifner, Robert and Amanda Groebner, Taylor Odom, Justin Plocher, Cody Plocher; great-grandchildren Toriana and Dana Groebner, Kennedy, Alexandra, and Abigail Groebner, Noah, Alec, and Gavin Heifner, Gracie, Tyler, and Dylan Groebner; sister Frances Hoese of Glencoe; step-sister Mary Moore of Delano; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
