Who said an hour sitting in line at the mall for three minutes on Santa’s lap was an enjoyable time for the entire family?
Carver County Parks and Carver County Historical Society has the perfect alternative.
Visit Santa at Lake Minnewashta Regional Park in his workshop! Spend some quality time with the whole family participating in a variety of family focused holiday activities on Saturday, Dec. 8 between 3-5 p.m.
Lake Minnewashta Regional Park is located on TH 41 between TH 5 and TH7 in Chanhassen.
During this fun filled event the following activities will be available: free snowshoe trials (conditions permitting) historic ornament craft project with Historical Society staff, holiday trivia games, outside “Santa search,” holiday treat decorating, holiday face painting and much more!
Santa will be in his workshop for kids to make their last minute wishes from 3:30 – 5 p.m., so bring your camera for a photograph.
This event is primarily indoors, with a bonfire outside to keep people warm and gather after enjoying the beautiful winter conditions of the park.
Cost for the event is $5 per child. Families are also encouraged to bring a new unwrapped toy to be donated to the CAP Agency for families in need this holiday season.
